I love nature and I need to commune with the outdoors for at least one to three hours a day. In recent years, I have become more aware of my desire to live much closer to nature, in as many different ways as possible. I am looking for class and retreat settings that allow us to be in nature as we play and explore.

I dream to find a home that would allow me to easily paint and do art in nature, feed myself from the land, and go for long long walks right from my door step...

Walking...

But I still live in an urban area, and so in the meantime, I walk wherever I find myself wandering the world: In the Oakland hills, in the beautiful Berlin forest of Spandau, in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Or under the scented pines along the mediterranean coast... Yes, I feel very blessed!

I used to go backpacking a lot, with friends, but also on my own to resource myself. It was at the top of my list of favorite things to do. As it is, I have not done it in a long time. Too long, and I miss it! I hope this passion will come back into my life very soon.

In the meantime, I go hiking with the dogs almost every single day, here in the Oakland & Berkeley hills. If you resonate with what you have read on this site - or at least some of it - and feel inspired to go for a walk together, you can contact me via my Blog. We could also pack a few things to sketch and paint; speak French, or stay silent if we prefer.

More about my love of nature...

There are many more things I would like to share around my love of nature, like my love for SCUBA diving, or my interests in green architecture and sustainable design, landscape architecture, ecology, preservation, organizing events to raise public awareness in these areas, and so on... but it is a vast a subject, and I need to come back to it at a later time.

Gardening

The little gardening I did in my life, I really loved: I grew cucumbers, peppers, carrots, lettuce, herbs and easy stuff like that. I have always dreamt of having a full-fledged veggie-garden and an orchard from which I could sustain myself and a few others - using permaculture and organic methods. And there is much I could learn on this subject. But I need it to be hands on; There is only so much one can learn through books, especially when it comes to gardening!

This website is a work in progress. When time allows, I would like to expand on my interests and visions regarding values and principles of living that are more in harmony with nature. Please come back to visit!
