Be it daily for myself, or on occasions for friends and relatives, I have always enjoyed making my own recipes and discovering new textures and flavor combinations that send me straight to heaven. Raw living foods have allowed me to be more creative with food than I could have ever imagined possible.

Raw Food Preparation

If you feel like playing and experimenting with food in a relaxed and effortless way, this may interest you. With raw foods, we can taste the rewards of what we make immediately and on many levels: creativity, sensuality, well-being with a feeling of vibrant aliveness. The whole body feels joy! In the process, we also nourish our inner-child and our inner-artist because working with raw foods is very tactile and hands-on.

I love variety, so I teach raw food preparation, from the simplest to the most gourmet dishes. We do not have to be a "raw-foodist" to enjoy a great raw food dish. Raw foods can simply be a delightful addition to our current ways of eating, and I would love to inspire you to creatively come up with your own delicious recipes. Or simply inspire you with new ideas, if you are already familiar with raw foods.

Because acknowledging cycles, our own and our environment's, is an important aspect of balanced living, I like to prepare food that is in harmony with the seasons of the year. Although I am not strict about it, I find that eating this way makes sense, not only ecologically of course, but also because it provides us with much better tasting food. It is also much more fun to eat cherries and strawberries when you haven't eaten them in a year!

I also love to learn and teach new practical tips and tricks that will make preparing food a lot faster, easier, and more fun.

Retreats

I would also like to combine fun and creative raw food preparation with other creative modalities during retreats. I am interested in working in collaboration with Raw Food Chefs for bigger events.

Why Raw Foods?

For me, raw foods are another opportunity to be creative and experience the juicy sensuality of life - not a way of dieting. Yes, the health benefits are quite rewarding for most people, but that is not the only reason I eat raw foods. If it were, I would have given up 3 years ago, at the same time I gave up the "exercise routine".

Thanks to my Mom who introduced us to a very natural life-style since I was a child, I have always loved eating a wide variety of live, fresh, and juicy fruits and vegetables daily. When in season, not only do they taste simply delicious - like nothing else - but they make me feel alive, fresh and juicy myself!

For the last 18 years, I have been very lucky to live in a multi-cultural area that has organic "everything" from the most exotic fruits and herbs, to the most earthy leaves and roots. It has been an incredible source of inspiration that has expanded my horizons in ways that I carry with me everywhere.

The good news is that each region in the world has got a vast array of its own local fruits and vegetables, and more than half the fun of eating raw foods is about discovering new delightful products when I travel to different places.

After 10 years of eating mostly live vegan foods, I find that even the simplest raw food dishes can be extremely fulfilling and sophisticated in taste. Yet the variety is so broad that the creative possibilities are as wide as our own imagination.

When I also remember to gently cleanse and fast regularly, my sense of smell and taste keep on developing and refining, so the whole experience of eating becomes even more amazing and rewarding! Even a fruit as mundane as an apple has never tasted so good and felt as satisfying to me.

The Magic of Flavor Combination

The more I eat raw foods the more smells I am able to identify, and the more delicate flavors I can appreciate. So with food, I am particularly interested in exploring subtle and unusual combinations.

Like an enchanting perfume, a great dish requires harmony with just the "right" amount and number of flavors: not too little and not too much, not too few and not too many, each enhancing the other, like perfect dance partners. And what is remarkable to me is that, when I am able to strike the perfect balance, I feel very deeply satisfied and I don't need to eat as much.
